Bio
Danieke started with euphonium lessons at the age of 9. In 2018 she got accepted to the Conservatory of Amsterdam where she currently pursues a bachelor degree with professors Perry Hoogendijk (Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra) and Rodin Rosendahl (Concertband of the Royal Navy). She participated in masterclasses of Steven Mead, David Childs and Mauro Martins and many others.
Since 2016, Danieke is a member of the National Youth Fanfare Orchestra with whom she has toured in the Netherlands and abroad. She has held the position of tutti euphonium player with Brassband Rijnmond since 2018. Danieke won the audition at the 'Fanfare Korps Nationale Reserve' in October 2020.
Next to playing the euphonium, Danieke is also an active conductor. From 2018 untill 2020 she speciliazed in conducting at the Conservatory of Amsterdam with professor Danny Oosterman. Currently, she conducts the youth orchestra of the 'Abcouder Harmonie' and also regularly conducts other youth orchestras.
Danieke enjoys playing on her Besson Prestige 2052-2 since 2019, made possible by Stichting Eigen Muziekinstrument.
